Permits the recording of sound via the Adjustable Keyboard. With this extension installed, pressing the Record button on the Apple Adjustable Keyboard (the circular button in the lower right corner with the microphone icon next to it) will start and stop the recording of sound. To use it, you must first open the Sound control panel, and click on the "Add..." button. If a Macintosh does not have this functionality in ROM, the Record Button extension provides it. For example, the functionality of the Record Button was incorporated into the ROMs on AV series and Power Macintosh systems.
